Farewell to Nic Smith - Development Coll update

At this years AGM, Development Coll bid farewell to long term board member and chairperson of the Development Coll board Nic Smith. Nic has been involved with Development Coll and An Cridhe in some capacity since its inception, and has poured passion and energy into both for well over a decade. And after such a long stint of being so involved, Nic has decided it is time for her to step back from Development Coll and enjoy a well earned rest from Development Coll matters!

One of Nic’s main interests in Development Coll and it’s operations lay in our community centre An Cridhe, and operated as line manager for Sam since he took over as community centre and bunkhouse manager in 2023, passing on a wealth of knowledge to him about the building, and how it runs and operates. And Nic will very much remain involved in An Cridhe, as part of the An Cridhe Volunteer Group, which is a collection of locals who give up their time to assist in the running and planning of various events in the building.

Nic also remains involved in a wide variety of community groups, a testament to her investment of time and energy into our brilliant community over the years.

She will very much be missed as part of the Development Coll board, but has earned her retirement through years of dedication and hard work! We wish you all the best Nic, and we know we will see you around!
